Last bit of filming for a while

Hello All
Today (Monday 14th) we will be filming the opening scene. By the looks of things this will be the last scene we shoot for a little while. I am hoping maybe to get the poets scene shot later in the year but we will be battling with dark nights and poor weather. We have done really well and made an excellent start…I’m really pleased.
However, the restoration starts next week so there will be quite a bit of that to film…exciting stuff!

Schoolroom Scene Shot

Along with a dozen children clad in their best medieval outfits we shot the schoolroom scene today at the Abbey.
It all went well and apart from being in a film the children also learned a bit of Latin!

I would like to say a massive thank you to Pat Chandler who brought down a car full of costumes she has made and ensured everyone was in the proper gear!
Once again a very rough draft of the film can be seen on our website. The still pictures will eventually be replaced with video.

First Film Shoot

Filming finally got under way today at Polesworth Abbey where we shot scene 1-6 where the Mother Superior receives the letter saying that the Abbey is to be dissolved. All went well and it’s nice to get some film in the can!
Here are some pictures from the shoot.

Film Script

Malcolm has done a great job of the script and it has now been storyboarded.  If you are connected with the project and want an electronic copy of the script and the storyboard please click on the link below. Both of the files below are PDF format and require Adobe Reader to open them.

Tamworth Castle

Because the gatehouse will be clad in scaffolding for the next few months we will be doing some of the filming at Tamworth Castle. It’s an excellent place to film and will only enhance what we are aiming to do. They also have lots of great costumes and people willing to act in them!
